Micropia

IMG_0471We visited Amsterdams Micropia today (after a visit to the zoo which I’ll talk about in another post). Although Pip was still a little too young to fully grasp what was on show, he still managed to have a fantastic time.

The first thing we did was to sit on the lap of a seriously giant tardigrade! It was tardigrades that actually triggered Pip’s desire to go to Micropia. We’d been watching Neil Degrasse Tyson’s Cosmos series on Netflix this week and he fell in love with the little guys.

Mostly he was psyched about collecting all the microbe stamps hidden around the venue (and yep, he managed to get them all), but he also had fun looking through microscopes, smelling gross scents, studying the very awesome ant farm and generally running around from one experiment to the next trying to figure out what was so important about it all.
